Welcome to Drop Anchor Marine. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website and the services provided by Drop Anchor Marine (“Drop Anchor Marine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By requesting or using our services, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Please read these terms carefully before scheduling or authorizing any service.
1. Our Services
Drop Anchor Marine provides mobile marine repair, maintenance, and related services, including but not limited to:
- Inboard Repairs
- Outboard Repairs
- Electrical Repairs
- Boat Trailer Repairs
- Routine Maintenance
- Boat Bottom Cleaning
- Boat Lift Repairs
- Other marine repairs, maintenance, and service needs
Our mobile service allows us to perform many services at your boat’s location, including at a marina, dock, residence, storage facility, or other agreed-upon location.
Not every repair or service can be completed at every location. Certain repairs may require specialized equipment, additional workspace, removal of components, or transportation to another facility.
2. Service Requests and Appointments
Service appointments are scheduled based on technician availability, location, the nature of the requested work, and other scheduling considerations.
Appointment times are estimates and may be affected by weather, traffic, previous service calls, parts availability, unexpected repair complications, marina restrictions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant scheduling changes whenever possible.
3. Estimates and Diagnoses
When appropriate, Drop Anchor Marine may provide an estimate before beginning additional repair work.
Estimates are based on the information available to us at the time and may change if additional problems are discovered during inspection, diagnosis, disassembly, or repair.
A diagnostic inspection may identify additional repairs or parts that were not apparent from the original service request.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate additional recommended work and obtain customer approval before performing repairs that exceed an agreed-upon scope or estimate, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to protect the vessel or prevent additional damage.
4. Authorization to Perform Work
By approving a service appointment, estimate, repair, maintenance service, or other work, the Customer authorizes Drop Anchor Marine and its technicians to perform the agreed-upon services.
The Customer represents that they have the legal authority to authorize work on the vessel, trailer, boat lift, equipment, or other property being serviced.
5. Parts and Materials
Repairs may require replacement parts, fluids, filters, hardware, electrical components, or other materials.
Whenever reasonably possible, we will discuss significant parts requirements with the Customer before ordering or installing them.
Parts availability and delivery times are controlled by manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers and may affect completion times.
Special-order, custom, non-returnable, or customer-requested parts may require payment in advance and may be subject to the applicable supplier’s return policy.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer is responsible for providing Drop Anchor Marine with accurate information regarding the vessel, equipment, known problems, previous repairs, and requested services.
The Customer is also responsible for:
- Providing reasonable access to the vessel and equipment.
- Ensuring the vessel is located in a safe and accessible work area.
- Obtaining any required marina, dock, storage facility, or property-owner permission for our technicians to perform work.
- Removing or securing personal belongings that could interfere with the work.
- Informing us of known hazards or conditions that could affect the safety of our technicians.
- Providing access to necessary power, water, or other utilities when required for an agreed-upon service.
We reserve the right to postpone or decline work if the work area is unsafe, inaccessible, or otherwise unsuitable for the requested service.
7. Boat and Equipment Condition
Marine vessels and equipment can contain hidden damage, corrosion, deterioration, wear, or previously repaired components that may not be visible before work begins.
Drop Anchor Marine is not responsible for pre-existing conditions or defects that were not caused by our work.
If additional problems are discovered during a repair, we may recommend additional work before completing the original repair.
8. Corrosion and Existing Damage
Marine environments can cause significant corrosion, deterioration, and material fatigue.
During the course of service, previously weakened, corroded, seized, brittle, or deteriorated components may break or require replacement despite reasonable care.
Drop Anchor Marine will take reasonable precautions when working on such components but cannot guarantee that aged or corroded parts will withstand removal or repair.
Where reasonably possible, we will inform the Customer when these conditions are discovered.
9. Boat Trailer Services
Boat trailer services may include inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement, and adjustment of components such as brakes, bearings, hubs, lights, tires, winches, hardware, and related systems.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the trailer, towing vehicle, hitch, safety equipment, and other towing components are properly maintained and legally compliant.
Drop Anchor Marine does not guarantee the overall roadworthiness of a trailer beyond the specific services performed.
10. Boat Lift Services
Boat lift repairs may include servicing or repairing motors, cables, controls, switches, hardware, and other lift components.
Because boat lifts are exposed to water, weather, corrosion, and structural stress, additional problems may become apparent during inspection or repair.
Drop Anchor Marine does not assume responsibility for structural defects, pre-existing damage, improper installation, or components outside the scope of the authorized repair.
11. Bottom Cleaning
Boat bottom cleaning is intended to remove marine growth, buildup, and other surface contaminants from accessible areas of the vessel.
Results can vary depending on the type, amount, and age of marine growth; hull condition; coating condition; and other factors.
Cleaning does not guarantee removal of all staining, discoloration, damage, or permanently bonded growth.
Customers should disclose any special hull coatings, finishes, or treatments before service.
12. Payment
Payment is due according to the terms communicated at the time of service or stated on the applicable invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of the authorized work.
We may require deposits or advance payment for certain parts, special-order materials, larger projects, or other services.
Accepted payment methods may include those communicated by Drop Anchor Marine at the time of service.
13. Additional Work
If additional repairs are discovered after work has begun, Drop Anchor Marine may provide the Customer with an updated estimate or recommendation.
Additional work will generally require Customer approval before being performed.
Emergency or preventative work may be performed without prior approval when reasonably necessary to prevent immediate damage, protect property, or safely complete an ongoing repair, where permitted by applicable law.
14. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers are asked to provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Repeated cancellations, missed appointments, or circumstances requiring a technician to make an unnecessary service trip may result in a service-call or cancellation fee when disclosed to the Customer in advance.
Any applicable cancellation or service-call fees will be communicated before they are charged.
15. Service Calls and Travel
Because Drop Anchor Marine is a mobile marine repair business, service calls may involve travel to marinas, docks, residences, storage facilities, or other locations.
Travel charges, diagnostic fees, minimum service charges, or other applicable fees will be communicated to the Customer when applicable.
16. Parts and Manufacturer Warranties
When replacement parts are supplied by Drop Anchor Marine, any applicable manufacturer’s warranty is generally provided by the part manufacturer or supplier.
Drop Anchor Marine does not provide a manufacturer’s warranty unless specifically stated in writing.
Any Drop Anchor Marine workmanship warranty, if offered for a particular repair, will be stated on the applicable invoice or service documentation.
17. Workmanship
Drop Anchor Marine strives to provide quality workmanship and professional service on every job.
Any concerns regarding completed work should be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to inspect the issue and, where appropriate, determine whether it is related to the work performed.
A workmanship concern does not automatically mean that Drop Anchor Marine is responsible for subsequent damage or unrelated mechanical, electrical, structural, or environmental problems.
18. No Guarantee of Future Performance
Marine equipment consists of interconnected mechanical, electrical, structural, and electronic systems.
Repairing one component does not guarantee that another component will not subsequently fail.
Drop Anchor Marine cannot guarantee that a vessel will remain free from future breakdowns, mechanical failures, electrical problems, corrosion, or other issues following a repair or maintenance service.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Drop Anchor Marine will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-use damages arising from services performed, except where such limitations are prohibited by law.
This may include, where legally permitted, loss of use of a vessel, lost revenue, missed trips, towing expenses, marina fees, transportation expenses, or other consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
20. Personal Property
Customers are responsible for removing or securing valuable personal belongings, fishing equipment, electronics, tools, documents, and other personal property before service begins.
Drop Anchor Marine is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property that is left unsecured or in areas where service work is being performed, except to the extent caused by our negligence or otherwise required by law.
21. Weather and Unsafe Conditions
Marine repair work may be affected by weather, water conditions, lightning, high winds, extreme temperatures, storms, flooding, or other environmental conditions.
Drop Anchor Marine may postpone or reschedule work when conditions create an unreasonable safety risk to our technicians, the Customer, the vessel, or surrounding property.
22. Marina and Property Rules
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that Drop Anchor Marine is permitted to perform work at the marina, dock, storage facility, residence, or other service location.
The Customer is responsible for any marina-specific requirements, access fees, work permits, or restrictions unless otherwise agreed.
23. Website Information
Information provided on the Drop Anchor Marine website is intended for general informational purposes.

A website description does not constitute a guarantee that a particular repair, part, service, or outcome will be available or appropriate for a specific vessel.
24. Customer Communications
By contacting Drop Anchor Marine through our website, phone, text message, email, or other communication methods, you agree that we may use the contact information you provide to communicate with you regarding service requests, appointments, estimates, invoices, and related business matters.
We will not use your information for unrelated purposes except as permitted by applicable law or our Privacy Policy.

30. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with any applicable estimate, invoice, written service agreement, warranty, or other written agreement between Drop Anchor Marine and the Customer, constitute the agreement governing the applicable services.
